Grab Your Broom - Stamping 411 #270

Labour Day is next weekend, signalling the end of summer as we know it.  The kids are back to school, vacations are over --- and Halloween is fast approaching.
This Halloween card was made for the sketch challenge with Stamping 411 here

Technique:
The square 5 by 5"card base is Basic Gray, layered with Very Vanilla, the edges of which were sponged with Basic Gray ink.  The Howlstooth & Scaringbone DSP forms the next layer.  The edges of that was sponged with Basic Gray as well.
A piece of Tangerine Tango taffeta ribbon is attached to the designer paper to hide the seam.

Image:
The image of the boot was colored with Tangerine Tango marker, with the boot colored in Basic black and stamped onto Whisper White card stock.  The circles on the boot where colored with first a Basic Gray marker and then highlighted with a Basic Black marker.  Crystal effects was applied to these circles.  The boot was then cut out and attached to a piece of Whisper White card stock that had been embossed with the Lines folder in 2 directions.  The surface of this piece was lightly sponged with Basic Gray to bring out the lattice pattern.  This piece was matted with Tangerine Tango card stock, and applied to the top of the card with dimensionals - slightly overlapping the sentiment.

Sentiment:
The sentiment was stamped on another piece of Whisper White paper and punched out with a 1 3/4" circle punch. This was matted with a Tangerine Tango circle and then with a Basic Gray scallop circle.
The image of a bat, from Googly Ghouls was stamped on top of the sentiment and googly eyes applied.
Black rhinestones (retired SU) were placed underneath the sentiment.

Stamps: Bootiful Occasions, Googly Ghouls, Wicked Cool
Inks: Basic Gray, SU markers (Tangerine Tango, Basic Gray, Basic Black), Basic Black
Papers: Basic Gray, Very Vanilla, Howlstooth & Scaringbone designer paper, Tangerine Tango, Whisper White
Accessories: 1 3/4" circle punch, Circle die #2, Scallop circle die (retired), Googly eyes, Black rhinestones (retired), Lines folder, 3/8" Tangerine Tango taffeta ribbon, dimensionals,
