Sick? Try Stampin' on Tuesday #293

The flu season is upon us.  The doctor's offices and health units are encouraging everyone to get their flu shots with the motto:  "Don't let the flu go viral" .  I must admit I chuckled when I saw that.

Already I have received phone calls from friends/clients who are sick.  So, I am getting prepared with a pile of get well cards.  This one I made for the challenge with Try Stampin' on Tuesday

That poor guy lying in bed sure looks sick.
After colouring him with copic markers, the right upper corner of the art piece was rounded, then matted with cucumber crush cardstock.
A piece of vellum with the sentiment embossed with black embossing powder was adhered over the lower part of the art piece.
The remainder of the sentiment was embossed on a piece of vellum which was placed on a banner and adhered below the main sentiment.

The base card stock is Cucumber Crush, layered with Whisper White cardstock embossed with the large dots embossing folder.  A strip of Cucumber Crush DSP was adhered to the left side.
Before adhering the Whisper White layer to the card base a piece of gold baker's twine was wrapped around it twice and then tied into a bow.

The art piece of attached to the card front using dimensionals.

Supplies Used:
Stamps: Stamp unknown,
Inks: Black Memento, Copic markers, Versa Mark
Papers: Cucumber Crush, Whisper White, Cucumber Crush DSP, vellum cardstock
Accessories: Large dots embossing folder, black embossing powder, gold baker's twine, dimensionals
