Bee Happy - Try Stampin' on Tuesday #310

"Sweet Thoughts" is the optional theme for this week's sketch challenge Try Stampin' on Tuesday. When I think of "sweet" I think of flowers, honey, and that leads me to bees.  So my card this week features flowers and a bee. Thanks to Vicki for the sketch.

Card:
The base card is Sweet Sugarplum card stock, layered with Very Vanilla embossed with the Hexagon Dynamic texturize Impression folder. This embossing folder reminds me of a honey comb.

A piece of Playful Palette DSP matted with Sweet Sugarplum is adhered to the top of the card.

Art Piece:
The flower from the SAB Avante-Garden stamp set was stamped twice on a piece of  Whisper White card stock die cut with the Stitched Square Framelit. One flower was stamped with Sweet Sugarplum; the second with Peek-a-boo Peach. The stem and leaves were stamped with Mint Macaron.  Black Memento was used to stamp the flower centers.

Texture was incorporated into the Art Piece by stamping with Flirty Flamingo with the dot stamp included with the stamp set.  I wanted the dots to be faint, so I stamped off once before stamping on the background.

The flowers needed a bee to make them happy.  So, a bee from the Garden in Bloom stamp set, was stamped onto a scrap of Whisper White, colored with markers then cut out and adhered to the art piece with a dimensionals.  Some Wink of Stella was applied to the bee's wings.

Sentiment:
The sentiment is stamped with Black Memento on a small piece  Flirty Flamingo cardstock, one end of which was notched. After sponging the edges, it was adhered to the top of the art piece using dimensionals.

Supplies Used:
Stamps: Avante-Garden (SAB), Garden in Bloom
Inks: Black Memento, Peek-a-boo Peach, Sweet Sugarplum, Flirty Flamingo, Mint Macaron SU markers (Daffodil Delight)
Papers: Sweet Sugarplum, Very Vanilla, Whisper White, Peek-a-boo Peach, Playful Palette DSP
Accessories: Shaped Stitched Framelits, Hexagon Dynamic Texturize Impression embossing folder, Clear Wink of Stella glitter brush, dimensionals

Now its time for you to make a card or project using Vicki's sketch and post it on one of two places - the Try Stampin' on Tuesday blog or on their Facebook page.
Check out the cards made by the other team members and leave them "a little lovin".  Comments are always appreciated.
Looking forward to seeing your work.
