Sneak Peak - Eastern Palace Suite Projects - Gift Bag

Last weekend I was at On Stage in Toronto, and had a wonderful time.  But before I left I had the opportunity to pre-order the Eastern Palace Suite projects. A couple of days ago, everything arrived.  Today I made some sample projects - some sneak peaks for you.

The first project, which I will post about today, is a medium gift bag made using the Gift Bag Punch board.

Tomorrow I will describe how I made the Thank You note card.

To make the bag, I used 4 by 11" piece of  the new thick Very Vanilla cardstock and it was a delight to work with. Before putting the bag together I did a bit of decorating.

Two pieces of  Eastern Palace Designer Specialty DSP 2 3/4 by 5 7/8" were matted with 2 7/8 by 6" pieces of Tranquil Tide cardstock. Both are new items that will appear in the Annual catalogue launching June, 2017. These pieces were added to the front and back of the bag.

Gold natural trim (1/4") were inserted through the punched holes to hold the bag closed.

The decorative tag was made using a 2 by 4" of Tranquil Tide card stock, punched at one end with the scallop tag topper punch.  After randomly stamping it with Tranquil Tide ink, it was attached to the gift bag at an angle, with dimensionals.   A gold mini tassel was attached at the top of the tag.

The sentiment, gold embossed on a scrap of thick Very Vanilla cardstock, was die cut using the coordinating Eastern Medallion Thinlet dies and adhered, with dimensionals, to the right side of the tag and extending over the edge.

Supplies Used:
Stamp: Eastern Beauty
Ink: Tranquil Tide, Versa Mark
Papers: Thick Very Vanilla card stock, Tranquil Tide, Eastern Palace DSP
Accessories: Gift bag punch board, Gold embossing powder, Eastern Medallion Thinlet dies, Gold Mini Tassel, Linen thread, 1/4" natural gold trim, Scallop tag topper punch

Stay tuned for tomorrow's post - a Thank You note card.
