Lots of Lavender

Lavender is one of my favourite flowers in my garden, and I have heard that the smell of Lavender is calming and facilitates sleep. I doubt that this lavender image from the SAB catalogue can make that claim. This is one of the many free products available from the catalogue with a purchase of $60.

After stamping the image with Black Memento, I coloured it with SU markers rather than doing 2 step stamping which this stamp set is designed to do.  I used Wisteria Wonder with accents of Elegant Eggplant on the flowers and Old Olive and Always Artichoke on the stems and leaves. The ribbon was coloured with a Sweet Sugarplum marker

The layering ovals framelits were used to die cut the image. Because the image was too large for the die cut, I cut around the bottom stems and placed them on top of the oval die cut during die cutting.  The result is that the stems were not cut during the cutting process and extend beyond the die cut oval.

The oval was matted with a Wisteria Wonder scalloped oval die cut and the two were adhered together using dimensionals. This was mounted o a panel of Petal Garden DSP which was edged on both sides with a strip of Wisteria Wonder punched with the decorative ribbon  punch.

Whisper white layered on a Wisteria Wonder base provide the basis for this card.  Before the Whisper White was adhered to the card base, I adhered a 1/2" silver edged satin ribbon around the bottom and added a small bow.
